“She is not only a remarkable performer but also a visionary producer,”

Rodica Vică is recognized as one of the most captivating and versatile voices of her generation. With a flourishing international career, the Romanian soprano is regularly invited to perform on prestigious opera and concert stages both in Romania and abroad. Her debut at the Bucharest National Opera in 2010, in the roles of the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) by W.A. Mozart, marked the beginning of an exceptional artistic journey.

Her repertoire covers a wide stylistic range, from Baroque opera (Alcina by Handel) and Italian belcanto (Norina in Don Pasquale by Donizetti, Rosina in The Barber of Seville by Rossini), to major vocal-symphonic works and contemporary creations. Rodica Vică is the winner of numerous national and international competitions, including First Prize at the “La Stravaganza” International Baroque Music Competition in Cluj-Napoca, Second Prize at the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Competition “The Road to Celebrity,” and the Prize for Best Musical Interpretation at the “Ion Dacian” Trophy for Young Performers.

Among the highlights of her recent career are the world premiere of George Enescu’s oratorio Strigoii at the Konzerthaus Berlin with the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin under the baton of Gabriel Bebeșelea, her participation in the OTP Bank Gala at Müpa Budapest, the Canto Barocco concerts at Teatro La Fenice, Vivaldi’s Gloria with Accademia Bizantina and Ottavio Dantone at the opening of the Varaždin Baroque Festival, as well as her performance in Bach’s monumental Matthäus Passion at the Romanian Athenaeum, conducted by Cristian Măcelaru.

Rodica Vică constantly expands her artistic horizons with new roles and innovative projects. Her debuts as Violetta Valery (La Traviata by Verdi), Fiorilla (Il Turco in Italia by Rossini), and her participation in productions directed by Andrei Șerban or within the George Enescu International Festival confirm the soprano’s versatility and artistic maturity.

Rodica Vică’s discography includes two landmark albums: Strigoii by George Enescu (world premiere recording, released by Capriccio) and Stars in the Sky, launched at the Musikverein Vienna, a multicultural project dedicated to lullabies from around the world.

Beyond the stage, Rodica Vică proudly embraces the role of Creative Music Ambassador, taking the initiative in projects that harmonize cultures and build bridges between diverse sonic worlds. Her projects – such as KlimaKlänge, only ONE Diva allowed, Carmen Sylva – 180, Romanian Music Journey, Stars in the Sky, JazzT Vivaldi, RoboHuman Lullaby, and Fiori e Colori – stand as testimonies to her bold and innovative artistic vision. Each of these concepts explores new musical territories and seeks to bring people together through the universal language of music.

With every note she sings and every artistic concept she imagines and brings to life, Rodica Vică continues to inspire, connect, and build a more harmonious world through the transformative power of music.
